Representatives of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after Bohdan Stuparyk Joined a Dialogue on Academic Integrity in the Information Society

On April 25, 2025, an interregional lecture-dialogue titled “Academic Integrity of the Modern Researcher in the Context of the Contemporary Information Society: Theoretical and Practical Perspectives” took place, with participation from the faculty members and postgraduate students of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after Bohdan Stuparyk at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (formerly Precarpathian National University).

The lecture was co-organized by the Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education named after Ivan Zyazyun, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (ІПООД НАПН України), Sumy State A. S. Makarenko Pedagogical University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw (Poland).

During the lecture, participants discussed a range of important topics, including the principles of academic integrity, ethical challenges in scientific publishing, academic responsibility in the digital information society, tools and practices for preventing academic misconduct, and fostering a culture of academic honesty among students and early-career researchers.

The educational event provided an opportunity to bring together scholars, researchers, and students from different regions of Ukraine to discuss critical issues related to academic integrity, the development of research responsibility, and strategies to prevent plagiarism in the digital age. Participants were able not only to engage in professional discussions but also to share experiences and review practical cases concerning ethical standards in scientific activity.
