On April 15, 2024, students of the “Professional Education. Digital Technologies” program, together with PhD and Assistant Taras Paska, visited PARK3020 — a unique contemporary sculpture park in Ukraine. This trip provided a true cultural immersion into modern Ukrainian art, where tradition merges with innovation, and sculptures intersect with digital technologies.
PARK3020 is not just a sculpture park but a vision of the future, where art, technology, and Ukrainian history intertwine in a single space. Many of the installations are created using digital modeling, 3D printing, robotic elements, and cutting-edge materials, perfectly aligning with the focus of our program.
The students were impressed by the profound meanings of the contemporary sculptures, which raise important social, environmental, and cultural issues. One highlight was Bohdan Tomashevskyi’s work “Salamander” — a metal structure symbolizing the Carpathian spine and the harmony between nature and technology.
An especially moving part of the visit was exploring the museum space dedicated to the Trypillian culture — the cradle of Ukrainian civilization. Students had the opportunity not only to see unique artifacts, such as the oldest fishing hook in Ukraine, dating back 6,500 years, but also to delve into the philosophy of life of the Trypillians, carriers of deep ecological and cultural wisdom.
They also visited the “Vilni” art market, which showcases works by contemporary Ukrainian artists, designers, and craftsmen. This place served as a true source of inspiration for students, who are learning to combine tradition and modernity, creativity and digital technologies in their professional development.
Studying in the “Professional Education. Digital Technologies” program is not only about mastering modern IT tools but also about developing creativity, critical thinking, and the ability to design the future in harmony with national cultural identity.
We are proud that our students actively participate in the faculty’s cultural and educational events. The Department regularly helps organize such trips, believing it is extremely important to cultivate not only digital competencies but also aesthetic taste, creative thinking, and the ability to perceive depth through technology in future professionals.
We invite you to join us and help shape Ukraine’s digital future!
