Today, at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, the regular meeting of the Academic Council was held.
The Acting Rector of PNU, Professor Ihor Tsependa, ceremoniously presented the professor’s certificate and wished productive work to Liubov Prokopiv, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management.
Ihor Tsependa also presented associate professor certificates and congratulated the following faculty members on their academic titles: Yaroslava Hryhoriv, Associate Professor of the Department of Forest and Agrarian Management; Volodymyr Fedorak, Associate Professor; and Inesa Melnyk and Tetiana Huliak, Associate Professors of the Department of English Philology.
The Doctor of Philosophy diploma in Psychology was awarded to Viktoriia Hotych.
During the meeting, a number of agenda items were discussed. In particular, Valentyna Yakubiv, First Vice-Rector, reported on the results of the university’s research activities: outcomes for 2024 and tasks for 2025.
The main achievements of the university in research for the reporting year included:

Improvement of positions in international and national rankings;

Internationalization of research through the creation of research groups with EU universities;

Increase in funding secured for scientific grant projects;

Growth in publication activity of academic staff, including publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science;

Improvement of the quality of the academic staff (increase in the number of Doctors and Candidates of Science, professors and associate professors, recipients of Cabinet of Ministers scholarships, and state award laureates);

Establishment of the Open Science Center;

Development of research infrastructure;

Professional development of academic staff;

Development of student research activities.
