An online webinar ‘Educational Space of the 21st Century: Interdisciplinary Solutions’ was held

On April 14, 2025, as part of the collaboration between Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, an open online webinar titled “Educational Space of the 21st Century: Interdisciplinary Solutions” took place.

The webinar was organized by the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management at PNU (Head of Department — Prof. Liubov Prokopiv) and the Department of Therapy, Family, and Emergency Medicine of Postgraduate Education at IFNMU (Head of Department — Prof. Serhii Fedorov). The event brought together representatives from the medical and pedagogical communities to discuss pressing issues in interdisciplinary collaboration in education.

The webinar featured a series of insightful presentations:

  • Mariana Dereniuk, PhD, Assistant at the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management, PNU, presented “Information Immunity: Fundamentals of Media Literacy and Information Security in the Digital Age.”

  • Khrystyna Symchych, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Therapy, Family, and Emergency Medicine, IFNMU, highlighted “Competency-Based Approach in Postgraduate Medical Practice.”

  • Olha Bondar, Assistant at the same department, focused on “Modern Understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders.”

A lively discussion led by Viktoriia Stynska, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Bohdan Stuparyk Department, attracted particular attention. Her comments and questions to the presenters fostered active idea exchange among participants from different educational fields.

At the conclusion of the webinar, Liubov Prokopiv and Serhii Fedorov summarized the discussions, emphasizing the importance of combining pedagogical and medical expertise in shaping the educational practices of the future. They highlighted the value of an interdisciplinary approach, which enables better response to contemporary challenges, builds resilience to information threats, and develops competencies necessary for effective interaction in complex professional environments.

The webinar was held online via Microsoft Teams and attracted significant interest among educators, students, and all those engaged in the development of modern educational spaces. We sincerely thank all participants for their active involvement and fruitful discussion!
