“Interesting Holidays – 2025” for schoolchildren from the University of the Gifted Child

Faculty members of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after Bohdan Stuparyk – Professor Borys Savchuk and Assistant Natalia Basarab – traditionally joined the volunteer educational project “Interesting Holidays – 2025”, which launched on June 2 at the University of the Gifted Child (UGC). The initiative has been running since 2017 under the Scientific Park of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian (Carpathian) National University, with the support of Rector Professor Ihor Tsependa. The head and author of the project idea is Professor Halyna Bilavych from the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations.

This year, the project brought together over 150 volunteers – lecturers and students from more than 10 departments of PNU and the professional college. The “Interesting Holidays – 2025” program includes over 100 thematic activities within creative, scientific, technological, linguistic, and spiritual-patriotic schools. The educational modules take into account the children’s age and individual characteristics, level of preparation, and different types of giftedness. During the first week, 60 sessions were held for 60 children – students in grades 1–7, divided into two learning groups. The format is blended: in-person in university classrooms and online in the afternoons.

UGC volunteers understand that, under the conditions of Russian aggression, it is crucial to create all opportunities for the comprehensive development of children, help them realize their creative potential and natural abilities, and foster national identity, patriotic values, and moral-Christian qualities in young students. The university upholds the following values: God, Ukraine, Child, Development, Safety.
