Scholars of the University Participated in the First Stage of the IV Summer School “AI + Education + Science 2.0”

From June 26 to 28, 2025, at the invitation of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Innovative University,” representatives of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University participated in the first stage of the IV Summer School “AI + Education + Science 2.0,” held in Lviv at the IT STEP University.

This year’s Summer School brought together leading specialists and scholars in the fields of artificial intelligence, education, and science. The main goal of the event was to exchange experiences, explore practical AI tools, and jointly develop strategies for implementing innovations in higher education and scientific research.

The university was represented by:

  • Volodymyr Stefinin, Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Applied Economics;

  • Ivan Plets, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee;

  • Olga Slypanyuk, Director of the Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology;

  • Liubov Prokopiv, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after Bohdan Stuparyk;

  • Mykhailo Matsola, Head of the Department of Management in Information Technologies.

Participants attended lectures, workshops, and TED-style panel discussions. The program covered three key areas:

  1. Strategic dimension: AI in higher education and science;

  2. Practical AI tools for educators and researchers;

  3. AI for professional development.

The culmination was a panel discussion “AI in Education and Science – Challenges and Prospects,” featuring Taras Kytsmey (SoftServe), Natalia Shakhovska (Lviv Polytechnic), Oleksiy Molchanovskyi (UCU), and Viktor Voloshyn (IT STEP University), moderated by Taras Finikov, President of the International Foundation for Educational Policy Research.

Participants not only gained new knowledge and tools but also had the opportunity to present ideas for their own micro-projects, which will form the basis for the next stage.

Participation in the Summer School was an important step toward integrating AI into the university’s research and educational activities and provided a new impetus for innovative development.
