On August 20, 2025, a blended online and in-person meeting took place at the Ivan Zolotoust Academy in Ivano-Frankivsk, during which about 50 educators worked on developing a program on the fundamentals of Christian Ethics and the methodological content of the subject. The initiative was organized by Halyna Hryshko, Chair of the Education and Upbringing Commission of the Ivano-Frankivsk Archdiocese of the UGCC.
Participants included educators from the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv Archdioceses, as well as the Kolomyia and Buchach Eparchies of the UGCC, along with representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Evangelical Christian Church. Natalia Basarab, Assistant of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after Bohdan Stuparyk at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, also joined the collaborative work.

Methodologists Liliya Kuchma-Mudryk and Svitlana Smikh from the Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk Institutes of Postgraduate Education for Pedagogical Staff.
During the meeting, participants discussed the structure of the model and curriculum programs, organized into groups according to the cycles of the “New Ukrainian School,” and outlined tasks to be completed by the next meeting in September.
Thanks to the joint efforts and exchange of experiences, the new program aims to promote Christian education for the younger generation and help transmit Christian values within the modern Ukrainian school system.
