On September 17, 2025, an extended meeting of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine took place, with participation from Taras Paska, PhD, Assistant of the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the outcomes of previous discussions between the Council members and the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and outlined the next steps to address pressing issues faced by young scientists in Ukraine. The participants discussed strategic directions for the development of youth science, mechanisms for supporting research activities, and ways to enhance the role of young researchers in shaping national science policy.
Significant attention was given to the preparation and organization of the VI All-Ukrainian Forum of Councils of Young Scientists, the implementation of a support project for young scientists who are military personnel and veterans, and the expansion of international cooperation, including collaboration with Eurodoc. Other topics included signing partnership memorandums, creating a registry of councils of young scientists, and developing the online lecture platform of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry as a space for professional growth and experience exchange.
Participation of Assistant Taras Paska in the extended meeting helps represent the interests of university youth, establish effective communication with national scientific institutions, and integrate the department into the nationwide support network for young researchers.
Additionally, the meeting announced the upcoming Autumn School for Young Scientists 5.0, open to students, postgraduate students, and young researchers. Registration is open until September 19, 2025. Participants were also invited to join the Union of Councils of Young Scientists, which serves as a platform for professional discussions and inter-institutional collaboration.
Such initiatives actively engage young scientists in the country’s scientific life, foster the development of collective solutions, and create new opportunities for the professional growth of the scientific youth.
