On October 20, 2025, with the support of the Rokada Charitable Foundation, Nataliia Basarab, Assistant at the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, conducted a training session titled “Theory and Practice of Conflict Resolution. Fundamentals of Mediation” for employees of the Municipal Institution “City Center of Social Services” of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.
The training topic was highly relevant for social sector professionals who face conflict situations in their daily professional activities. The program combined both theoretical and practical components and was aimed at developing professional competencies in communication, conflict studies, and mediation. Participants became familiar with algorithms for constructive responses to conflict situations, methods for identifying their root causes, and practiced the application of mediation technologies in the provision of social services.
The development of mediation skills contributes to fostering an environment of trust, mutual understanding, and constructive communication, which enhances the effectiveness of social work and improves the quality of services provided to community members.
