The defense of master’s theses by part-time students took place

On December 19, the defense of qualification papers for the second (master’s) level of higher education took place for part-time students majoring in 011 Educational and Pedagogical Sciences.

The final certification of master’s students was conducted under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after B. Stuparyk, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Liubov Mykolaivna Prokopiv. The Examination Board included: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Viktoriia Volodymyrivna Stynska; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Mykolaivna Salyha; and Senior Laboratory Assistant of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management named after B. Stuparyk, Secretary of the Board, Oksana Yosypivna Ziubrytska.

Members of the Examination Board noted the thorough theoretical training of the students, the logical structure of the research papers, the well-reasoned conclusions, as well as the master’s students’ ability to combine scientific approaches with the practical needs of contemporary educational practice.

All students successfully defended their master’s theses and demonstrated a high level of professional competence, well-developed skills of scientific analysis, critical thinking, and academic communication. During the defense, the master’s students clearly presented the results of their own research, provided comprehensive answers to the questions posed by the Board members, and confirmed their readiness for further professional and pedagogical activity.

The topics of the master’s theses covered current areas of development in modern education and pedagogical science, in particular:

  • the use of digital technologies and innovative methods in higher education institutions;

  • pedagogical conditions for monitoring the quality of education of future lecturers in the educational environment of higher education institutions;

  • gamification as a factor in increasing motivation in the educational process of higher education institutions;

  • the formation of professional competence of future higher education lecturers based on an interdisciplinary approach;

  • pedagogical conditions for the professional and pedagogical adaptation of future lecturers in the system of higher education;

  • the formation of an inclusive culture among future higher education lecturers;

  • the readiness of future teachers to prevent bullying in the educational environment of general secondary education institutions;

  • training higher education students through information and cognitive technologies;

  • the development of professional self-organization skills in future higher education lecturers at the stage of professional training.

The presented studies demonstrated the master’s students’ focus on contemporary educational challenges, the needs of digitalization in education, the development of an inclusive and safe educational environment, as well as the enhancement of the quality of professional training of future teachers and lecturers of higher education institutions.

Based on the results of the defenses, all master’s students were awarded the educational qualification of Master of Educational and Pedagogical Sciences and the professional qualification of Lecturer of a Higher Education Institution.
